Will Smith as Robert Neville stars in a Sci-fi movie called I Am Legend produced by Warner Bros in 2007 It is a post-apocalyptic film (End of Civilization due to a cause e.g. nuclear bomb), also starring Alice Braga, Salli Richardson-Whitfield, Willow Smith & Charlie Tahan. I would categorise I Am Legend as More Human than Human on the website Mr Shields gave us http://www.onpostmodernism.com/movies/default.aspx because of the infected humans seek to eat all survivors so replacing humanity with a new devolved human race ignoring all natural human instincts and replacing those instincts with animal instincts.
Will Smith after 3 years is showing signs of loneliness of socialising with other humans, By speaking to model dolls in a music store you can see his trying to fill that loneliness and he mental state is being tested by being alone with no socialising or human contact also with the radio messages his willing to give supplies and protection for company, he may have a dog but he cannot have a conversation with his dog. But he has to suffer being alone in till he can use his own immune blood to reverse the effects of the infection by using his science ability’s but he cannot hold off for so long and must find a cure before he is hunted by the infected that hunt in the dark.
Wikipedia states I Am Legend is the 7th highest grossing film in 2007 earning $276 million $276 and $329 million internationally for a total of $585 all together million. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I_Am_Legend_(film), Zoe and Marley his wife and daughter were both killed in a helicopter incident 3 years before to the present day in the film with his dog as his only company, When filmed it showed New York in the kind of environment it would be set in if all humans were to not exist there with wild animals living in the city and tall grass bursting through pathments and roads this is the prospective of what people would believe would happen if a city was disserted of human activity but also shows empty buildings with cars left on streets and some to appear to have crashed to give it more of a look if it was the end of civilization again post-apocalyptic is again involved.
